A project for the books!

Found a project I did and took pictures of a few months ago. Thought it would be nice to have on here.... Found these beautiful wing back chairs at the local thrift store. Can't even remember the price... but it must have been good. LOOOVE these chairs. I had never reupholstered anything in my life before this.... don't know that I ever will again LOL... OK it wasn't that bad.
Started by taking out the hundreds of staples....

I have to admit by the time I get to this point and realized there was no turning back..... I was getting a little nervous.
I unrolled my fabric and put all of the old piece of fabric on top to figure out a way to use as much new fabric as possible. I just pieced them together like a puzzle leaving about an inch extra all around just in case!!
Started with the tufting part on the back of the chair and then the bottom...
My husband was loving no parking space for the hrs and hrs it took to complete this project :)
WHALAAAA here is the finished one.... We will get to the sister chair... after a little break! :)
I set it by our fireplace downstairs and I LOOOVE it!
The pictures don't do the fabric justice...
So fun!

A New IDEA!

I have been super busy lately and have gotten a few new "wonderful can't wait to share new old pieces" I am so excited about!! I have had a lot of people asking me what I have coming up. I have also had a few people say "oh I wish that was blhablha color LOL so it would match my room perfectly. I figured I do this because I love it! Regardless of color I LOVE it! I would rather satisfy you. So, I have taken a few pics of things I just have ready in my garage with a PLAN idea. If it is something you would like and don't like the PLAN or just really want it another color to match your home decor just email me. I would love to better suit you. So, here is a post of the new stuff I am working on. I will also always leave them on the sidebar and just add to it. If you see something you can't live without. Email me for more info including dimensions. Thanks for everything!!!

yes another dresser!! I can't help myself I love them. I have had a few people start to use them as entertainment centers. Removing the top drawers and using them for all of you boxes (satellite and dvd stuff) Anyway, I told my husband when I saw this my heart started to pound. I needed it for the horrible weekend we had! :)) can't wait to get started.

DRAWING!!!

I have had a lot of people ask me for craft ideas or how I get mine. I also love to teach people how to do things that I have been doing like distressing or glazing furniture. Well I wish I had taken and documented pictures a couple years ago when I started this stuff but... we will just start now! :) Better late than never anyway. So, the first 50 followers to by craft blog will be entered to win a piece of furniture or a craft.... They will probably get the option actually! You have the rights to keep it, sell it, gift it whatever you want!! FUN HUH! I imagine you will be keeping it. Everything I do I want to keep. My husband has to remind me that when I say "I am keeping this one for sure.... "another idea will be right around the corner. So, let the "following" begin.  You can earn an extra entry for every person you refer that follows and leave a comment about who you referred also get another entry for posting my button on your blog...... so the entries are endless! :)) Just let me know with comments on my craft blog of how many things you did so I can enter you in the drawing that many times! WOW that was a mouth full!

Valentines Fast Craft post.

I had seen these tube sock wreaths on craft blogs before and I didn't have anything to hang that I liked on my door for Valentines day so I made these. I think they cost like 5.00-6.00 each after it was all said and done. So cute!
1.00 wreath from the thrift store :)
Cut with a knife...
Dollar Store Tube Socks.
Cut out the toe and the heel....
Start placing them on the wreath use more for a scrunchy look :)
I over lapped all of mine and glued one piece to the wreath and then overlapped the next piece gluing it to the other sock. That way no wreath was showing through.
The first one on the wreath
Second one overlapping the first sock.
My door is really tall so this worked out perfect!

St. Patrick's and East door to come :) CUTE!
