Last available pieces for the year!

All of these pieces are available and ready to be finished. They are white right now but can easily be repainted before I distress them. I have had a lot of calls the last few weeks. I am still trying to catch up with everyone so be patient if I haven't gotten back with you. :-) I have had a few emails asking what I have left so I thought I would post some pics incase someone wanted a custom color before I finished them. If you have ordered something I am currently working on don't worry your pieces will be finished before these. Thanks everyone for a wonderful year!

Refinished Cherry Red Hutch

I guess I forgot before pics.... Just the original old wood. This piece was given a good sanding, it actually was in pretty bad shape and in need of a few repairs, painted cherry red, lightly distressed and glazed in a light chocolate brown and sealed. This was a commissioned piece. The customer just wanted it lightly distressed and glazed and the pics are off my phone once again so a little harder to see the detail. It was a fun piece. Glass shelves were replaced with chicken wire (which I have done a lot this year.) This is actually really close to my last piece for the season. It has been a wonderful and very busy year for me. I am grateful for all my wonderful customers!!

Record Console

I love old record players. My Dad had one while I was growing up as a child and this reminds me so much of him. This was a comissioned piece for a musically inclined, artsy, opinionated......in other words difficult to please customer LOL Just Kidding! I think at one point I told him if they hadn't been such great customers I would have told them "sorry.... better luck next time!" It was that miserable of a refinish! Whomever put this piece together did it with the intentions of it never being taken apart again. It took forever to get the front face off without damaging the spindles. It had to come off in order to replace the fabric. Anyway, long story short after a couple days it was all taken apart WHAOOO! The top and base were stripped a couple times, sanded, stained and sealed. The rest was primed in a white (so after the distressing it would show through) painted stone gray, glazed in Ralph Lauren blk and sealed. I didn't get the greatest "after" pic's.... I actually forgot that I even had taken any at all. I snapped a couple to send the customer on my phone so no real pics but these will do!

The reason for my disappearance.

http://www.mylifepharm.com/index.php?Distributor=change4good

Ok.... DISCLAIMER first- I know this is a furniture blog!!!!  But, that being said I could not pass up the opportunity to share something so remarkable. It has truly changed my life as well as those around me. I am a pretty big health nut (at the same time I do drink Diet Coke and eat my Mrs. Cavanaugh's chocolates during the wee hours of the night to stay awake and finish furniture I must admit!! LOL) Anyway, If you have heard of this product you know why I feel passionate enough about it to share with everyone I come in contact with. If you haven't heard of it you need to. It is nicknamed the Happy Pill because it will change your life so drastically. I am talking within hours I have seen a complete change in people. For me it is safe, natural and the best supplement on the market right now.   "Laminine is the glue that holds us all together- emotionally, physically and mentally." Laminine raises your Serotonin levels and decreases your stress hormone (Cortisol.) It has amazing healing powers for so many different diseases and health problems. Through personal testimonials as well as world wide it simply can not be denied. For more informations you can visit my website at http://www.mylifepharm.com/index.php?Distributor=change4good  You do NOT have to join. I can order them for you and I have bottles on hand if you just want to try them. You will not regret that you did. You can order them yourself on my site as well. If you join you just get added benefits like $10 off per bottle. I am not sharing this to make money. I am sharing it to change lives. It has without a doubt saved the lives of people I am extremely close to. If anyone has any questions or wants to talk more in detail about person experiecnces you can find me through my link or call text and email. Info located at the sidebar. Thanks again for letting me rant. I have some pretty AMAZING customers that have helped changed my life. As of yesterday justinmysparetime has had over 16k hits including people from China, Russia, Canada, Sweden, The Netherlands and of course the United States. Feeling pretty blessed! I love what I do.

Dog Dresser..... Yep that's right DOG dresser :-)

I saw this idea on pinterest a while back and found a perfect dresser for it last week. I had to do it! I have to admit I love animals but I am not crazy about the messy yuck factor LOL. I hate to walk into a house and be attacked by a dog.... just sayin' I swear every pick up or delivery we go on I am mauled LOL anyway.... Anyone that knows me knows I am a complete germaphob and I hate that feeling of dirty germs all over. That being said I own a dog because when I see my children's face light up while playing with her my phobia tends to go away. I hate to walk in and see our dog bowl and food right by our front door. It drives me a little crazy.  For $20 we got ourselves a new piece of furniture this week and I am in LOOOVE with it. I think our pooch may love it even more than me. She lives by it! Anyway, I used all scrap pieces I had laying around as well as the paint so it truly was a $20 piece of furniture for me. The kids think it is the coolest thing to run and open her drawers in the morning to feed her. Super fun!

And YES I am CRAZY and have some of my FALL stuff out and have been making salsa, jams and canning fruit for weeks now. I LOOOVE FAll and have maybe jumped the gun a little early this year. I couldn't help myself. :-)

Sweet Treat Hutch!

I got this idea from a customer. I have seen it done a couple times since and loved the idea! I had to find just the right hutch and was super excited when this came available. I loved the sweet attachment the older gentlemen (that was having a hard time parting with it) had. When I told him what I was doing he smiled and said "Oh thanks for that. That is something I approve of!" He was so very sweet and this was exactly what I had been looking for. I felt I should give him a little hug before I left. I love old Grandpas! (I refrained LOL) Anyway, the candy cost about 3 times more than the hutch lol.... Hubster and I have always had candy lying around since we were dating and this seemed perfect! Don't mind the lovely lot of weeds and dirt next to us.... would love for someone to buy that. Makes for a great backdrop :-)
