Old New Things That Are Coming.....

I have had a lot of requests for a tumbler on the sidebar to show things I get in or that I am working on. I used to do that a lot but I got so busy I couldn't keep up... so for now here are the things I have available after my custom orders are out of the way. Just a reminder for those new to the blog. I take off November, December and January for the Holidays and to be with my family so get in all your custom orders for Christmas or stuff you are thinking about doing ASAP :) Also, I am trying to move out my showroom in the Bella Me Boutique for more fun pieces so I have marked down these end tables and the turq dresser this week if anyone is interested contact info at the sidebar.

Burnt Green Kitchen Table SOLD

So apparently the only before picture I got was of the legs LOL at least I got one I guess! This is actually my kitchen table. I have wanted to paint it for years but I never had the courage HAHA! You would think over the last 5 years of doing this my house would be filled with my pieces. Nope!!! This is actually the first piece of my own furniture I have refinished. Tables or pieces with smooth flat tops that are used regularly make me nervous. I am so much of a perfectionist. It seriously took me forever to do this. I finally just had to stop. My poor kids didn't have a table for weeks it seemed like. They were so excited to eat at the table and thye love it almost as much as I do. My house is all dark stain and tan walls. I feel like I am suffocating sometimes. I have to say that I am super pleased with the turn out. I love to just walk next to my table. I need to finish the table setting but I had to post some pics for now! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Amazing what a coat of paint can do to bring new life to something! :) This table was all dark stain like the legs and it does have a leaf that looks awesome when extended I will have to post more pics of it later.

 Fell in love with this color the first time I tried it!

 People always want to know what the finish is like on tables... I tired to get a good shot of it. It was sprayed like 3 times for the durability with my crazy kids. It is so much better now. Whenever the kids spill on it instead of soaking in all the spill beads up and washes right away. AWESOME!

 Went with some white legs.

 This is the beginning of my table setting. I get a little crazy with my settings. My drawers are filled with placemats and decor for the Holidays and change of Seasons!

White Tea Stained Dresser with Stained Top SOLD

I love dressers like this. They have so much awesome potential. I love to find a dresser with no repairs and good bones :) I have had a lot of requests for white. Of course the classy look of the stained top is very modern and popular right now as well. This dresser is still available. I have a lot of customers that use this for an entertainment center as well. Contact at the sidebar for more info. 

Secretary Desk and Bar Stools

These were also commissioned pieces. I love the gray that she chose. I have been doing it a lot lately. Such a classy sophisticated color. The chairs turned out awesome and looked great in her kitchen. This was the first secretary desk I have done and it dates back to the 70's I have to say that it was a lot of work. People think that solid colors with no distressing or glazing is easy but in reality it is much harder for me. I would rather take all the extra steps because you can't really mess up distressing. You can scratch it, hit it, burn it, take a chain to and hubbies favorite drag it! Solid colors need to be perfect and don't allow for error... lets just say it was touched up over and over again and sealed and then touched up again and resealed! It was like never ending but with a beautiful result. I have to say I am absolutely in LOVE with this desk and if I had a place for it would have kept it LOL I know I always say that but I mean it this time :) It looked great in her house and was the perfect color!

Desk and end tables SOLD

 These pieces are commissioned. I have to say that stripping and staining are the harder refinishes that I get. I love the finished product but it is hard to get it where I want it. You never know with raw wood how it will take to stain. These were stripped, sanded, stained a dark walnut and sealed. The paint was the same technic I always use. I have to say I wasn't too super sad to see them go. It is always fun to send a piece on it's way looking completely different then when I received it. Countless hrs of work but worth it to have a happy customer! AND I love to free up some space in my garage because I am jam PACKED right now. Not complaining. I love what I do and it never gets old for me. So grateful to all my awesome customers!
