These were also commissioned pieces. I love the gray that she chose. I have been doing it a lot lately. Such a classy sophisticated color. The chairs turned out awesome and looked great in her kitchen. This was the first secretary desk I have done and it dates back to the 70's I have to say that it was a lot of work. People think that solid colors with no distressing or glazing is easy but in reality it is much harder for me. I would rather take all the extra steps because you can't really mess up distressing. You can scratch it, hit it, burn it, take a chain to and hubbies favorite drag it! Solid colors need to be perfect and don't allow for error... lets just say it was touched up over and over again and sealed and then touched up again and resealed! It was like never ending but with a beautiful result. I have to say I am absolutely in LOVE with this desk and if I had a place for it would have kept it LOL I know I always say that but I mean it this time :) It looked great in her house and was the perfect color!

Refinished Vintage Chair SOLD
I loved this chair when I saw it... don't mind the before pic's.... yes my garage has been a complete disaster the last month. Currently our Harley and 2 chairs are parked outside so I can stash all 3 spots with furniture.... SWEET! Hubby LOVES this!! :) Yes that would be a Sombrero Hat next to my diet coke turned glazing cup! Apparently we have wild late night parties in the garage while refinishing furniture HAHAHA! Ok.... on with it. I loved this chair. I could see it next to a little vanity or desk. The lines are great and the fabric I used for the Chaise turned out so well I used it again. They are a cute set! Both are still available contact at the sidebar for more info.
