Some Fun New Things!!!

For some reason I am not being very good at taking pictures.... I just like to get to the finished product and can't wait to get started. I have been doing a lot of commission work lately. Customers are finding some awesome pieces and bringing them to me to refinish. This antique table was brought to me and I was instantly in love with all of the detail. It was refinished in a rustic orange and I loved it! Of course I ran it off to the customer and forgot a complete after pic :( the next one was a hutch. I had a customer purchase a dresser refinished in turquoise and brought this hutch back to get it refinished in a matching color. I LOVED~ I mean really LOVED this hutch.  I also love turquoise so it was a perfect match for me. I have since received 2 more hutches and they are just available for a custom color refinish if anyone is interested let me know :) I am soooo EXCITED for this early Spring and have had a lot of recent orders I can't wait to get started on. So much nicer than freezing in my heated garage. :)

Finally a NEW piece!!

Oh how I HATE really dislike :) Refinishing furniture in the Winter. I have always hated being cold and I pretty much freeze even with my heaters going outside. But, I can not stop doing what I love. I did take off a few months to enjoy the Holidays with my family but I am up and going again. Really itching for Spring.    This turquoise was again a custom color. I just have an idea in my head and unless I modify my own colors I can never make it perfect. I love this refinish. Started off with a  good cleaning and soft sanding to smooth out all the furniture. I removed all the hardware and set it aside to respray.

 After a few simple coats of the paint it already looked amazingly different.

 All of the little detail already popped for me but my favorite parts are yet to come..... Afterwards I distressed with an air sander and glazed with a chocolate brown....

 The knobs were sprayed in a Rustoleum hammered brown......
WAHOOOOLAAAA! Love Love Love. My very first piece years ago was turquoise and I think it will always be my favorite! :))

 

It is so good to be back again. Can't wait for all of the furniture I see in the future. I have so many fun pieces coming up!

Blue Desk SOLD

I guess I didn't do before pictures for this one. It was a fun desk. I loved that the chair and everything was all real wood. I am partial to the black glaze. When If first started 3 years ago black was all I ever did. The paint took so well to this desk. I think it turned out perfect. :)

Pine Desk

I have a before (before the sanding) pictures somewhere I will have to post when I find it. It is a bright yellow/orange Pine color with the HIGH gloss I hate. It took FOREVER to strip and sand. It was then stained in a beautiful deep dark walnut/cherry with a matte finish. It was sealed and is ready to go. This piece is still available. Contacts at the sidebar for more info.

I Love RED! SOLD

 SOLDThese end tables I did a while back and LOOVE them. I originally decided to keep them but I changed my room decor a month later and so I HAAD to have new end tables. They were painted and glazed in a heavy black and sealed. They are now available. Contacts at the sidebar for more information.

Coffee Table

This coffee table was fun. It had a lighter stain with a HIGH gloss that I don't LOVE! So it was stripped, sanded and re stained in a dark walnut/cherry. The bottom had a fresh coat of cream paint and then was distressed, glazed and sealed. This table is still available. Contacts at the sidebar for more information. :)
